Yes, Your Boss "Wants" You To Take A Vacation, So Get Out Of Town.

So many Americans think that if they take their vacation they will get behind and never catch up. They are also concerned that they won't get that promotion or raise they've been working towards. The truth is if you take a vacation you will be more productive before you leave and even more productive when you return all refreshed. Even the process of deciding where and when to go on a vacation can get the juices flowing.

The key is to get away for all the things that stress you. Even if you just go and read a good book on the beach you're breaking away from your routine. A good vacation can make all the difference in not only your productivity but also your mental well being. Your co-workers, your family and even your boss will see the difference a good vacation will have on your mental health.

If your doctor could prescribe some preventive medicine for stress, heart disease, and mental depression it might just be an Alaskan Cruise or a trip to the Baja of Mexico. Next time you're feeling the pressure of your job take a break and increase your productivity with a mini vacation. The world won't stop spinning if you go away for a long weekend. Your spouse will thank you as well. Studies have show that families grow closer when they are on a vacation. Relationships get back on track and the home life gets a much deserved boost.

The sad truth is that some employees don't even take their vacations. This has resulted in over 21 billions dollars being given back to employers in non-taken vacations. The other fact is that employers pay for that three times over in loss of productivity. So pack your bags and get out of town. You'll live a healthier life for it.

With everyone worried about wheather they will have their job next week or being able to take a vacation and still come back to a job we're getting ourselves all stressed out. Some people feel that during stressful economic times that it is the worst time to take a vacation, but that just isn't true. Not only will taking a vacation reduce stress and encourage mental clarity, but it will also infuse money back into the economy, allowing the free enterprise to flurish.

B.E.S.T. - Just Do It Everyday To Build Your Network Marketing Business.

We all want to do our best. We've heard "Put Your Best Foot Forward" "Give It Your Best" "The Best is Yet to Come" "I'm Doing My Best" and so on. But really what is your best? Do we always give our best? According to the dictionary Best means: of the highest quality, excellence, or standing, most advantageous, suitable, or desirable. You get the point, its means doing all we can as great as possible. So here's the question, I know your expecting it. Honestly, truthfully,  Are You Doing Your BEST to Build Your Network Marketing Business? The question you may be asking yourself is how do I know if I'm doing my best? What does it look like in my daily activity to be doing my best? Most of us played some sort of sport growing up. I know in high school you must have played basketball, baseball, football, ok enough with the ball's, how about running or jumping in track class? What was the indicator that told us we were doing our best? It was the score right? If you ran fast you won, if you played your best in basketball you helped your team score points.

So let's keep score. Our mission ,if you choose to accept it,is to get 100 points a day by simply doing our B.E.S.T. The way we get our 100 points a day by getting 25 points for each of the parts of B.E.S.T. The B equals BELIEVING, the E equals EXPOSING, the S equals SEALING THE DEAL, and the T equals TRAINING. By doing something in each of these areas everyday you earn 100 points. And I believe that you will be what I call a 100% club builder. By giving your business 100% effort the rewards will be amazing.

Believing – you believed when you got involved.  Believe the best is yet to come. What do you believe the business will do for you?  With belief you build your list, because you believe the products and/or business will help others. With belief you see a vision of a future without limits. With belief you will build a strong contact bank from people you know and people you meet. A person with belief says “I’ll contact the sharpest people I know to tell about the business and I’ll tell the rest about the great products.”

Belief building is done by reading books, listening to a audio books or Cd's, watching  educational DVD's, or attending workshops or seminars on a topics that elevate your thinking. Another way to build belief is to work with a mentor and learn from their experiences. Some of my favorite topics are (Leadership , Biblical Leadership, Higher Thinking , Law of Attraction). Some of my favorite speakers are Keith Craft, Brian Tracy, John Maxwell, Jack Canfield, Paul Zane Pilzer. Google any of these speakers and attend one of their workshops, read their books, or listen or watch their audio recordings. Build your belief today and get 25 points.

Exposing – The products and business to others. Using parties, DVD’s, 1 on 1 presentations allow you to step out and expose people to the business. Find fun ways to expose.  You can even expose through online presentations and grow your business in other areas. Private receptions or parties are fun due to the intimate setting. Find a fun setting to do a reception or party like by the pool, on a boat, at a fun restaurant, in a beautiful home, in a media room or movie theater. Bringing your own fun to any environment will make exposing something you look forward to doing. Expose your business today and get 25 points.

Sealing the Deal – Also know as “Getting the Check”. Whether it’s a new customer or a new distributor the business doesn't grow until we say "So let's get started".  Here’s where we get them to move forward. Utilize your upline with 3-way follow-up calls. The fortune is in the follow-up and being bold enough to ask them to move forward. Follow-up today to seal the deal and get 25 points. You get the points just for following-up. We can not predict what they will do but we can do our part and ask.

Training – Show others how to build their contact bank, how to expose the business, how to do 3-way calls, how to do the presentation, how to share the stories of the business. Training is duplication. The number one way to train someone is to show them while building the business. It's so powerful when we lead by example. You learn more and they learn more because they see it working. Training is better outside the classroom in the real world. Train today and get 25 points.

At the end of the day you'll have 100 points simply by doing your B.E.S.T.

Become a member of the 100% club today by emailing me below to say "I'm doing 100%" in your subject line.

Systems Allow Ordinary People To Do Extraordinary Things.

When you start looking at systems and examples of successful systems McDonald's hamburgers always comes up, why well because it's a system that has proved to work. I mean think about it only with a system could a business that cost around a million to start be ran by teenagers. Systems take out the guess work, the decisions are already made. In the case of McDonald's they are told how much salt can go on the french fries, how hot the coffee can be, and how long the hamburger patties can stay on the grill. It's all thought out in detail to prevent any miss-interpretation. This is why McDonald's sells more hamburgers than their competition. Oh and the fact that they can get kiddies to drag their parents in the front door, yea that's part of the system too.

So what makes a good system in the industry of network marketing? Ask around and you'll get several answers but everyone will agree that "Duplication" is essential for a strong team. When your business is distributed networking of product and services you can't be a super salesperson or super recruiter and come out on top. You must be a great trainer and example to win at duplication. Great tools are a part of the equation as well. In the example of McDonalds the toys that attract the kids who bring their parents is a tool. The fact that the french fries are cooked exactly the same with even the exact amount of salt each time is a tool. Even Ronald himself is a tool. Oh and lets don't forget Hamburger U. Yea that's right a University on Hamburgers. The agreement is if you don't go to Hamburger U you loose your franchise. They want to teach you the system, otherwise you don't succeed. A friend of mine says "Systems allow ordinary people to do
extraordinary things" thanks Bob Berg that's so true. One of the systems I've tapped into is BlackBelt Recruiting which teaches mindset and how to be a master in this industry. The link below will connect you to a free video on mastering the art of building a strong team.

So how's that work'n for you?

An insightful question to ask yourself when your going down a path is "So how's that work'n for you?" It's also a good question to ask someone you see beating their head against a wall. Just don't ask your spouse this question, you might not like the answer or the response. Some questions you just shouldn't ask around the house.

But be honest, have you gotten yourself in a situation where things aren't going the way you thought they should?

Has your business grown the way you wanted it to grow? Are you the leader you wanted to be? So many times we see other people succeeding and assume they "got lucky" when in truth they've been growing. They've been asking the right questions, reading the right books and hanging out with the right people. They've learned how to get and apply real "L.U.C.K." Labor Under Correct Knowledge. They've been associating with people who are like who they want to be and reading books by people who've already done what they want to do. After all we are the result of the books that we read and the people we choose to associate with. So what books are YOU reading? Who are YOU associating with? If your not reading the right books or hanging around the right people "How's that work'n for YOU?" We all need to ask ourselves this question on a regular basis it's kind of like the voice from a cars navagation system saying turn around you've missed your exit. Take a U-turn, your going the wrong direction. We all need a personal navagation system and this question is the best I've seen for getting on track, "How's That Work'n For You?"

I took a picture of some of a few books I've been reading over the past year. I must admit they've changed my life forever. I think differently than I did before reading these books. I see people and situations differently than I did before.

The world is full of great ideas from great minds and you can have them for the price of a dinner. I like the hard back books and most of the books in this picture are under $20.00 for the hard back edition.

It's been proven that all great Leaders are Readers.

Invest in the area that has the highest return for your dollar, invest in "YOU".  Read like your life depended on it cause it very likely does depend upon us developing ourselves and taking our skills to the next level. As one of my mentors says "As You Elevate Your Thinking You Elevate Your Life."

Another great way to attain the knowledge and mentoring is to listen to audio books. I have some favorite online sites that allow me to download the audio book directly into my computer or my iPod so I can listen to my audio book anytime or anywhere. I can be riding my bike or taking a walk or piddling around in the yard while I'm learning and growing.  Now I usually get the physical book as well since I like to highlight areas and transcribe the book into a journal so I have my thought and "take-aways" in one easy to read place. Some of my best books are journals that started off with blank pages and now are full of many books on a given topic.

    Open For Business

Many of us have run businesses out of a physical address. To run these types of businesses we usually set standard hours of operation. These are the hours of the day that we are open to the public to do business. Go to any shopping center and you’ll see posted on the door the hours of operation, typically from 10:00am – 9:00pm for example in a retail environment.

My insight today is “What hours are you Open for Business?” Since we don’t have a physical front door to our business that we can either post the hours of operation or flip the OPEN and CLOSED sign to indicate that we are ready to do business. What are the Sign’s of our business that indicated weather we are OPEN or CLOSED?

In Network Marketing people usually only know if we are open for business if we share with them our products or our business system. We actually get to mentally flip our sign from CLOSED to OPEN at anytime during the day. Some of us even walk around with our sign in the OPEN position most of the time and I believe you should. Think of people you know who have a professional business like a lawyer, doctor, chiropractor, carpenter, or sales professional. Do you know what they do for a living and do they mention their services if the occasion arises? Sure they do and we don’t think twice about it when they do share some insight or information about how they can help someone with their services. Our business is a profession so we should talk about our business in a professional way like a doctor would talk about their business. When a doctor sees someone they know who needs their treatment they don’t tell them to strip down on the spot and let them examine them, I hope they don’t anyway. What they do is they schedule them for an appointment to come into their office for a complete examination so they can make a “professional” assessment of what can be done to improve their condition.

So for us to follow the “professional” model like the doctor all we are required to do is ASSESS the situation and get the persons contact information to schedule and appointment so we can ADDRESS where our products or business system can be of benefit by getting to know their pain and building a relationship. Then PROGRESS with the recommendation with a complete presentation of our services. After all at the end of our time with a doctor what usually happens? We get a presentation of how a treatment, prescription, or therapy will be helpful in the improvement of the condition. In our case we are doctors of circumstances we help people improve their circumstances by improving their lives.

Google Adwords a loaded gun, be careful you could get hurt.

Google has a powerful system that makes it possible, for the first time in the history of the world, to deposit five bucks, write a couple of ads, and instantly get access to over 100 million people - in less than 10 minutes. In fact it may be the first and best thing to do to get traffic to your site.

Using Google Adwords can help you expose your business to millions of prospects, but the skill is knowing who your prospects are and using Google Adwords to attract them. Since your paying for people to click on your Adword then why pay for people to click that aren't good prospects. You shouldn't have too and thats the skill to develop to have a successful Google Adwords campaign.

Another skill to develop is to pay the least possible to get the desired results. Sure you can go in with that attitude of paying a premium for your clicks but in the end you'll pay out way more than you receive. Last time I checked (and I do often) I want my income to exceed my expenses.

I've taken over a year to develop these skills and I'd recommend you take some time to develop them as well. One of my techniques is to pick my keywords using a keyword tool (usually built-in the system like Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc) and bid really low like .10 cents a click to see how many impressions I'm getting and what my placement is, from there I decide if I'm going to raise my bid price to get better placement based on my determination of who's clicking on that keyword (by the way a keyword phrase is better than just one word). I'll also go to the Google site and search on my keyword phrases to see what's showing up and determine if I want to be included in the results.

But it's not always as easy as I just made it sound - AdWords has some nuances, and most people have a rough time at first.

Well my colleague Mike Dillard has put together some great videos called "Pay Per Click Domination"

    http://bigvisiongroup.freeppcleads.com

If your marketing your business online at some point you'll look into using a pay per click system like Google Adwords. Yahoo has one, so does MSN, and don't even ask about Ask.com, yep they have one too. The reality is they work like magic, but if you don't take your time to put your dots in the right place you'll drop a lot of cash-ola.

Take your time and learn from the best on this one. Get your "Pay Per Click Domination" f. Then you'll know how to move forward with you Pay-Per-Click advertising.

Being un-comfortable now to be MORE comfortable later.

We hear a lot about getting out of your comfort zone in reference to being successful in network marketing, but what does that really mean.

    What is your comfort zone?

When you come home from a long day at work to relax, kick back, and watch a little tellie (TV), that's comfortable right? Just taking time to unwind from a day out make'n a living. So lets look down the road a bit, lets have a Big Vision of our future staying comfortable. While your being comfortable today your life will continue along the same path until in about 5 to 10 years you will be getting very un-comfortable with your income and the ability to enjoy your life. You are enjoying your comfort today but paying the price of not having a MORE comfortable future. With exercise the saying is "No Pain No Gain" with life it works the same way. To learn how to do your current career did you have to endure a little pain? To pass those college classes did you go through a little pain. Lessons in life are taught to us by nature. A child is born into this world with both the mother and the child going through some dis-comfort. Look at your business as a new creation a "new way of life" being born. My mother endured about 9-months of dis-comfort before I was born. How much dis-comfort are you willing to endure to give birth to a new way of life.

Sure it'll be a little un-comfortable for a while, learning new skills and stretching yourself to grow more as a leader, internet marketer, inviter, presenter, trainer and a communicator. Let's have that Big Vision and look down the road to see how being un-comfortable will work for you. Now you've got an income that has passed up the income from your job you've got more time to do the things you love with the people you love. Tell me honestly will that be MORE comfortable than how things are today? What comforts are you willing to give up today to have a life of greater comfort tomorrow. Are you willing to learn how to build your business in the physical world and on the internet? Are you willing to build new relationship with new people? I know that most people who want to learn how to do business on the internet won't take the time to develop the necessary skills. I know that most people won't take the time to become a master inviter. Many won't take the time to learn how to be a great leader. But some of you will, some of you have a desire to take control of your future. For those of you that take the time to be un-comfortable for a time the journey will be worth it even if it's in how much you grow as a person. Is your computer three feet away from you?

In Network Marketing there's a system called the three foot rule. What this means is that anyone who you get within three feet of you you talk to about your business. More about how to talk to them later but the point is you talk to them about your business. Well isn't your computer less than three feet away? Sure it is and with your computer you have access to millions of people sitting at their computers. Question is: How do I talk to the people? Do I send them an email, chat with them, or what. Well let's look at how it works in the physical world. First you will notice them and engage them in a conversation then you want to get their contact information so you can contact them again. So let break this down. What do you notice about them that makes you want to get their contact information. They're a sharp dresser, they drive a nice car, they look successful? Yes all these things are what we look for in someone to talk to when we are out in the physical world. Next we want to engage them in a conversation to get to know them a little and get their contact information.

Let's look at how this is done on the internet. First we need to be able to notice someone that has the potential of being someone we want to get to know and get their contact information. How do you know if someone is a sharp dresser on the internet, well you don't. How about drives a nice car, again tough one to verify on the internet. How about successful, again hard to tell. So what we need is some kind of qualifier. We need a way to find a person we would like to talk to about our business. There are many ways to kick this off and one of my favorite is to use a simple ad placed in any of the online ad systems ( ezines, press releases, blogs, forums). Google Adwords, MSN, Yahoo, or Ask can give you a place to put a simple ad. When you place the ad you need to have a place for them to go in order to capture their information so you can contact them again. Now you can contact them to build a relationship that will continue on and on. Isn't that what Network Marketing is all about, Building Relationships that Build a Partner that Builds a future for both of you?

Are you REALLY on the Internet?

To build your business on the internet, what you really need is the ability to collect visitors information when they visit your site. How do you collect the visitors information?  The term being used out there in cyber space is a capture page. A capture page also called a land page is a place on the internet where people land after being direct by you. This is typically done by having them click on a link you've created in a email signature, or an advertisement you can place in any number of places on the internet. You could also write an article or ezine to direct them to your capture page. Once on your landing page, they must be interested in your message and compelled to leave their contact information. Usually that ONLY happens if you are rewarding them for leaving their information (kind of like the "Register for a Free Vacation" offers at trade shows) .

In the real world, the landing page is like giving your 30-second story when you meet someone new, and the information collected is like getting their business card / contact information. What we do in the real world is mirrored on the internet. If you just have a site that promotes your business or product, it's like running around giving out your information but NEVER asking for their contact information. Try this sometime - just go out and tell everyone you come in contact with about your business or product, but don't ask for their contact information. You guessed it!  Big mistake...nothing will happen.  Now you may get a person or two to contact you down the road, but the fortune is in the FOLLOW-UP. You wouldn't be able to follow-up with them or help them in any way to understand your business if you don't have their information.  Now here's a better scenario:  change the playing field where you are getting their contact information and you follow-up with them. This is where the Magic happens, Relationships are established, and Income is created.
